IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE BENEFICENT, THE MERCIFUL
While apologizing for postponing our english annexment,we offer you - dear readers - a summary of the former three issues (٧ - ٩) of the second year, and we wish to inform you that our english annexment will only appear regularly on the last issue of the year, i.e. every forth issue.
Our old scholars had used to employ certain symbols or abbreviations to refer to the concerned personalities, books, quotations or idioms which are frequently repeated in their writings. So sheikh M.Reza Al-mamaqani has prepared a special dictionary conecrning such symbols and abbreviations, with a valuable introduction.
From the: Forgotten literary heritage of Ehsa, Sheikh Jafar Helali has offered a study about a famous poet called Sheikh M.Ben Ali Al-Baghli - who was alive in ١٢٤٠ H. - The study contains the poet\'s biography and a selection of his poetry, as two long poems in the praise- of the Holy prophet, Imam Ali, and other Imams (P.) .
The dear readers enjoy reading the second and third part of Sayyed Ali Al-Meelani\'s precious treatise in negation of Quran\'s destoration. The writer has surveyed the Traditions which refer to
the case of the destoration directly or indirectly., criticizing their transmitters, authority as well as their implications, to conclude that only narration of any tradition, does not give it an absolute authority , for Shia does not grant such absolute trust to any book except the Holy Quran.
For more explanation, the writer has classified shia scholars who had already narrated the concernedTraditions to three groups, i.e. I: The majority:who narrate such Tradition s without accepting them. II: A very few scholars who support these Traditions on the contrary of the first group. The number of these scholars does not exceed the ٥%. III: The third group: who narrate destoration\'s traditions without having a clear idea therein. So the readers will notice that ٩٠% of the considered shia scholars strictly deny Quran\'s destora tion, while the second group who possibly aecept destoration\'s idea does not represent shia\'s opinion. Sayyed Meelani has refered in conclusion that there are some sunni schol ars who also believe in Quran\'s destoration, but it does not mean that we cansider their opinion as whole surni\'s idea towards this question!
As to: Historical documents,the Editorial Board has choosed a testament (will) of Allama Al-Hilli (٦٤٨ - ٧٢٦ H.) to his son Fakhrul Muhaqqiqeen (٦٨٢ - ٧٧١ H.). In his versified testamen Allama has emphasized the importance of the Knowledge, encompassing his son to do his best to obtion and spread it.
Throu some choosed texts from « Al-Irshadat wal Tanbeehat » Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Al-Jafari studies the concept of the pain and the pleasure from Avicenna\'s philosophic and gnosticism point of view. Sheikh Ja.fari sees that Avicenna believes in the importance of the pain in the human existence, and its relation with his physical and spiritual life , so that he can pass his natural ego towards the supreme ego. The writer then argues Avicenna on what he calls: Joy, and attribute it to the Almighty « The most conception of the most perfection » . He concludes that this meani - ng can\'t be altributed to the Almighty.
In the ٨th issue of « Turathuna
» Mr.Asad Mawlawi ends his serial study: « glances on the researching art » in this circle, he studies ٣ required conditions through researehing
work, i.e. I text correction: the most precise and hard stage in the researching
operation II- Applying technical indexes to facilate
researcher\'s
work for finding his concerned subject. III- Applying an useful introduction for the text.
Sayyed Abdulaziz Al-Tabatabai continues his bibliographic survey on Nahjul-Balagha\'s manuscripts. Our dear readers may remember that the writer has indexed the concerned manuscripts of ٥ th H.Century till ٨ th Centary. So in the ٧ th issue of «Turathuna» he continues his work to the ١٠ th century ( he also introduces two another manuscripts of sixth and seventh H.Century ) . This bibliographic indexing contains valuable in - formations about the concerned manuscripts, as: the date of its writing, a paragraph from its begining and its end,its serial number and the concerned library.
As to the: Treasuries of the heritage, we hope that you\'ve enjoyed two researched treatises in the ٧-٨ issue, i.e. I- Treatise of Sayyed Ali b.Musa b.Jafar b.Tawous (d.٦٦٤ H.) about the time of perfurming the missed prayers, according to some related Traditions. The treatise is researched by Sayyed M-Ali Al-Tab atabai Al-Maraghi.
II. The Second treatise contains some theological questions stated by Al-Fazel Al-Meqdad Al-Suyoori (d-٨٢٨) and has been answered by Al-Shaheed Al-Awwal (Martyred in ٧٨٦ H.). The treatise is researched by sheikh Abbas Al-Hassoon. Then in the ninth issue you find two more researched treatises published for the first time (as usual): I- a poem of ١٧٠ lines, by Emaduddin M.b. Ali b. Alwan (d. ٧٠٦ H.) in the praise of Ali (p.) specially refers to Al- Ghadeer Tradition. The text is researched by Mr.Asad Mawlawi.
II- Al- lum\'a Al-Jaleyya, of Sheikh Ahmed b.M.b. Fand Al- Helli (d. ٨٤١ H.). The treatise which is researehed by sheikh Abbas Al-Hasson, is about the definition of the intention and its relation with all aspects of the different devotions.
Al-Rejal of Al-Sheikh Al-Toosi (٣٨٥-٤٦٠ H.) is one of the high considered originals in Rejal studies (biography and Authority of the Traditions\' narraters). As concerns this book. Sayyed M.Reza Al-Husaini, faces a considerable question, and tries to solve it.
As our, dear readers has already noticed, the
chapter of :
«What must be published from the heritage» refers to the most important manuscripts which must be researched and see the light. For instance «Turathuna» has introduced in its issue, two books: I- Al-Asrarul- khafeyya, in the logic speculative theology, which compiled by Allama Al-Hasan b.Yousef b.A١-Mutahhar Al-Helli (d.٧٢٦ th).
II- Al-Ensaf wal - Entesaf, By a scholar of ٨ th century, in which he had defied some accusations fabricated by Ibn Taymeya against the shia.
The linguists have special attention to have a better concept of the vocabularies and idioms by the help of the Quranic verses. So Dr.Hadi Hasan Hammodi, studied the books of Ahmed b.Fares, (d. ٣٩٥) approaching to a method which may be considered as Fares\'s own method in Quran\'s commentry. Of coumse he has a separate commentry, which is among his lost books.
In a study titled: Text researehing, between difficulty of the task and dangers of slips.Sayyed M.Reza Al-Husaini has refered to the importance of the researching work within a safe scientific frame as well as mental and technical background of the researcher to enable him to present the text. The writer has mentioned some slips and mistakes of some researchers who did not care for the mentioned conditions.
In the chapter of: «Manuscripts guide. Sayyed Ahmad Al- Husaini, has introduced ٤٣ manuscripts from the library of Allama Sayyed M.Husain Al- Tabatabai author of Al-Meezan.
In the same chapter (ninth issue) Al-Husaini, has indexed ١٢٦ manuscripts of differnt subjects of Islamic knowledge.
Often, it happens that many phenomena or false merits mix together to enlarge falsely some personalities, events, or cases . On this ground Sayyed Jafar Murtaza Al-Ameli: wrote an article about Zaid ben Thabet, proving through a critical study on the related narrations,stories, and historical events,that some merits are falsely atributed to this man, as his knowledge of some semetic languages, or inheritance duties (Al-Erth) .
